Hentai Matsuri Rules and Regulations
We at Hentai Matsuri (HM) want everyone to have fun. But to make sure everyone has fun, we need to have some rules and regulations. These rules and regulations might change without notice, but any change is to keep a fun and safe environment.

Admission Badges and Wristbands
At check-in/registration, you will receive both a badge and a wristband. You will need both to enter into the various HM event spaces. They will be checked for at the entrance to every HM-related area. More details are on our Registration page.
Photo/Video Recording
By attending HM you acknowledge that you may be photographed or video recorded at some point – by official HM staff.
Photos and video recording are allowed with consent by EVERYONE in the photo. Pick an appropriate background, like a wall, to ensure you are compliant with this policy. Alternatively, you can shoot in public areas of the hotel like the pool or lobby if your photo shoot would take up too much space being compliant with our policy. You are still to abide by appropriate behavior with respect to photographing fans, cosplayers, and other attendees. See our harassment policy for more information.
Animals and Pets
Animals and pets will not be allowed at HM. It’s for their safety and protection, as well as for the guests of HM. Please leave your pets at home – this includes birds, reptiles, dogs, cats, zebras, elephants, horses, and pretty much every animal.
Smoking
HM is a smoke-free event. If you need to smoke, find an appropriate area at the Handlery Hotel designated for smoking.
Outside Food and Drinks
Guests are permitted to bring their own food and drinks, as well as purchase some from the food venues on the Handlery Hotel site. However, while drinks and beverages will be allowed in the rooms, no food will be allowed in any of the HM programming rooms (panel rooms, dynamic room, exhibit hall, featured artist areas, video game room, tabletop room, etc).
Drugs and Alcohol
Illegal drug use is not permitted and will not be tolerated during HM. Underage drinking is also not permitted and will not be tolerated during the con. Excessive intoxication to the point where a 3rd party (hotel, security, staff, volunteers, etc) has to step in to assist you may result in revoking of badge privileges and denial of attendance in subsequent convention years depending on severity.
Signatures
HM reserves the right to limit any signing of items within the convention to a single piece. This will be decided by factors like guest comfort and traffic flow during the convention.
False Representation/Impersonation
Impersonating any person or entity or otherwise intentionally misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity will result in dismissal and ejection from the event without refund and a potential ban from all of our future events.
Hentai Matsuri Marketing
HM reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at the event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. We may use the photograph/video in publications or other media materials. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian By attending HM or by failing to notify us, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph or image used, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify HM from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
Vendor and Artist Policy
Hentai Matsuri, and all of our events, do not allow infringing or illegal and nonconsensual use of other’s content or intellectual property at any of our events. Artwork that is traced, copied, altered, or in any way stolen or used without permission, from another artist and was not created by a participating artist, is not allowed.
